Innovative Teaching Methodology
At GIT, we believe technical training is best absorbed through practical trials. We implement active learning modules to engage students:
- **Project-Based Learning (PBL)**: Every semester, students construct mini-projects related to their core subjects, promoting group coordination and troubleshooting skills.
- **Smart Classroom Lectures**: Interactive flat panels (IFPs) are installed across lecture halls to visualize animated mechanical processes, circuit simulations, and real-time coding runs.
- **Virtual Labs Collaboration**: Partnered with IIT Bombay's Virtual Lab initiative to simulate specialized engineering setups.
- **Regular Industrial Visits**: Students visit engineering plants, assembly floors, and IT centers at least twice per semester.
Rules & Regulations for Students
To maintain high academic standards and student discipline, GIT enforces strict campus guidelines:
Attendance Requirements
Every student **must maintain minimum 75% attendance** in both lecture sessions and practical sessions to be eligible to sit for the MSBTE final examinations. Students falling below 75% will be debarred from unit tests and term-end evaluations.
Uniform & ID Cards
Wearing the prescribed college uniform and displaying the institutional identity card is mandatory on all campus zones. Normal casual wear is not permitted during regular weekdays.
Anti-Ragging Regulations
Ragging of any kind on campus, in hostels, or outside is strictly prohibited and classified as a punishable offense under Maharashtra Anti-Ragging Act. Any student involved is subject to immediate rustication and police prosecution.
